VZ among three most digitalised banks
Every year, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts investigates Swiss banks’ degree of digitalisation. This year, VZ climbed onto the podium.
Together with the digital banking think tank e-foresight, Lucerne University’s Institute of Financial Services Zug (IFZ) annually honours Switzerland’s most digitalised banks. For the first time, VZ takes the podium with its innovative financial portal and banking services. Compared to the previous year, VZ moved up five places (from 8 to 3) - no other top 15 bank has made such a big leap before.
VZ was particularly recognised for its range of functionalities in e-banking, as well as its achievements in the area of "digital investment and pension provision". VZ came in second place in both categories. In total, 41 Swiss banks were evaluated.
Highly regarded study
Headed by Professor Andreas Dietrich (IFZ), all banks were examined on the basis of 103 factors relating to digital functionalities, products and services.
Key factors included functions related to e-banking, mobile banking, investment and pension provision as well as financing. Thanks to this comprehensive analysis, the quality test by IFZ and e-foresight has a prominent reputation - not only in the industry, but also among bank clients. This makes this award all the more important for VZ, which has been promoting digitalisation for years.
